Linda Jeffery Sailors

Biography

 

LINDA JEFFERY SAILORS retired from a successful career as a business consultant and 17 years in local elected positions, including Mayor of Dublin, California. In recent years, her passion has been to master the art of watercolor painting and drawing.

 

Ms. Sailors is a member of the Livermore Art Association, the California Watercolor Association, Alamo Danville Art Society, and the Pleasanton Art League, and served as president of the Livermore Art Association from 2003 to 2005. She continues to serve on the LAA Board of Directors

Ms. Sailors has studied under several established artists in the TriValley area and attended workshops given by several nationally known artists. She began her career as a clothing designer, after studying apparel design at the University of California, San Francisco. She has a BA in Business Management from St. Mary's College.

 

Ms. Sailors' work includes landscapes, florals, wine-related and travel scenes, and a variety of abstracts. She has become established as a painter using yupo paper. "I enjoy experimenting with new materials and perfecting new techniques to express my creativity," she has said. The one thing that all her work gives the viewer is the visual importance of color in our lives.
